Swartriet Private Nature Reserve is our member smallest in size: it protects 30 hectares of West Coast dune habitats! 

The reserve is part of a farm property which also offers beach challets for a get-away from daily city life. It is located about 90 km north of Cape Town, 14 km from Saldanha and just outside Jacobsbaai.

Conservation Highlights:

• Rare West Coast dune habitat and coastal fynbos
• Unique species such as: vlei lourie, African marsh harrier, Black oystercatcher, European bee eaters
• Duiker and tortoises
• Middens 
• Flower season from August to September
